Trintech Unveils Three AI Agents for Automated Finance Close
Trintech has launched three new AI agents targeting data access, accruals intelligence, and exception management in financial close workflows.
Trintech, a provider of AI-driven financial operations software, announced three new AI agents designed to extend automated execution across key stages of the financial close process, the company said Monday at a Chicago event.
The new tools — a Data Access Agent, an Accruals Intelligence Agent, and an Exception Management Agent — are built into Trintech's governed autonomous finance platform. Each agent targets a distinct bottleneck in the close cycle, from gathering and reconciling financial data to flagging and resolving discrepancies that would otherwise require manual intervention.

The launch reflects a broader push among enterprise finance software vendors to move beyond AI-assisted workflows toward what the industry is calling autonomous finance — systems capable of initiating and completing tasks without step-by-step human direction, while still operating within compliance guardrails. Trintech's framing of the platform as "governed" signals that control and auditability remain central design priorities alongside automation.
Accruals management and exception handling are among the most labor-intensive segments of any month-end or quarter-end close, making them natural targets for automation. By deploying purpose-built agents rather than general-purpose AI, Trintech is betting that specialization will deliver more reliable and auditable outputs in regulated financial environments.
