Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlements
Payward integrates SGB Net to enable 24/7 real-time clearing for institutional clients across Asia and the Gulf region.
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has struck a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver around-the-clock settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset markets in Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced Friday.
At the core of the arrangement is SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which Payward has now integrated into its infrastructure. The move allows institutional clients in both regions to settle transactions instantly at any hour, removing the delays that have historically complicated large-scale digital asset trading during off-hours or across time zones.

The partnership reflects a wider push by established crypto firms to court institutional players by addressing infrastructure gaps that traditional finance has long taken for granted, particularly continuous settlement windows. For markets in Asia and the Gulf, where trading hours and banking holidays can fragment liquidity, 24/7 clearing capacity carries particular operational significance.
