Freshworks to Join S&P SmallCap 600, Replacing BioLife Solutions
Freshworks will enter the S&P SmallCap 600 on Oct. 8 after BioLife Solutions exits due to an acquisition by Repligen Corp.
Freshworks Inc. is set to become a component of the S&P SmallCap 600 index, with the change taking effect before the opening bell on Thursday, October 8, 2026, according to an announcement released October 5.
The cloud-based software company will take the slot vacated by BioLife Solutions Inc., which is being removed from the index because S&P MidCap 400 member Repligen Corp. is acquiring it. Index rules typically require the removal of a constituent when it is absorbed through a merger or acquisition by another company.

Inclusion in a major S&P index often draws automatic buying pressure from passive funds and exchange-traded funds that track the benchmark, a dynamic that market participants watch closely around the effective date of any such reshuffle. Freshworks trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker FRSH, while BioLife Solutions carries the ticker BLFS and Repligen trades as RGEN.
The index change reflects standard S&P Dow Jones Indices methodology, which seeks to maintain representation across the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity market when a constituent is no longer independently traded.
